Featured by Apple in the iTunes store in March, Pocket MUNI is a simple and intuitive San Francisco MUNI application for the iPhone and iPod touch.

- Get arrival times based on actual vehicle locations (powered by NextBus)
- Find the stops closest to you
- Find stops near an address or intersection
- Add favorite routes and stops, and view their arrival times concurrently
- *NEW*: View arrival times for your favorite stops immediately in the iOS 8 Today view.
- View map locations of routes, stops, and vehicles
- Works for bus, metro, and cable car lines in the San Francisco MUNI
- iPad support! Uses the larger screen to create an even more interactive experience

Arrival times can be accessed using WiFi, 3g, and Edge. Route and stop information is saved on your device so you can view them offline. If MUNI has a major route change, simply press one button and Pocket MUNI will download all of the updates.

Vehicle locations are not always available, but this will not affect the accuracy of arrival times

Really bad
Changes time often
Dont give up Gilad! :(
SF recently changed key bus lines. Updates have not been reflected on Pocket MUNI. Perhaps the developer gave up on the app, because as far, he hasn’t responded as he once did. A bummer because it was one of my favorite bus apps! Don’t give up, Gilad! I know its a thankless job! Every now and then, I check this app to see if anything is new. I still like it and still miss it. Being a non-driving, bus-riding SF resident, I use this app several times a day. Depending on the connection, it works very well. Having read some of the comments, if Pocket MUNI is slow or inaccurate, it is NOT the fault of the app which is based on NextBus. NextBus is usually dependable, but I have yet to get an explanation from the SFMTA why buses "disappear" when it says theyre a minute away when clearly there are no buses in sight. Having said that, it works great. I love the minibus icons showing the location of the bus along the route. For the price, this is feature-packed. Check out the Favorites feature to keep your most used bus lines in one place. This is a must-have app for all San Francisco visitors and Muni bus-riding residents with iPhones. :^)
Glad its back
Thankfully its updated and it works again.
Relies on NextBus
Unfortunately this app like most if not all the others relies on NextBus for vehicle arrival times. For some reason NextBus has become so unreliable as to be almost useless. So beware of relying on the arrival times posted by this app. GPS location of vehicles shown still seems to be accurate, for whatever thats worth.
